New camera

As you might have guessed from the change in the number and quality of photos I've posted recently ... we bought a new camera. It is smaller, with a larger display, faster, and takes videos with sound. I'd gotten the old one as a gift about five or six years ago. We are having fun with the new one.

Easter weekend

IMG_0018 DSCF3588

We had a nice weekend. Saturday I took Nathan to the family Purim celebration at BCC. He still managed to fit in his superman costume. He had a good time with all the other kids and making lots of noise. Sunday we all went swimming and boy was it the perfect day for it. Nathan seems to have a great time in the water although he get scared when I disappear under the water.

Taking care of two babies

This evening I've been taking care of two babies. Of course Nathan, and now Gary too. The big baby is home sick and unable to keep anything down and acting pretty moppy. I really hope Nathan and I stay healthy. At least we both had flu shots.

We had a great day yesterday. Nathan went to his first easter egg hunt and St. Patrick's day parties. He really enjoy opening up the eggs and eating the goodies inside. He also loved the green hats and beads. Unfortunately after such a fun-packed day racing around OC, he had a terrible time getting to sleep at night. He (and his parents) didn't get to sleep until after 11pm.

Food instead of exercise

DSCF3527
I usually try to get some exercise everyday. Usually that means a walk at lunchtime, but sometimes I can squeeze in a swim or jog. Three times this week, instead of getting some exercise on my lunch hour, I went out to lunch with coworkers or went to a lunch meeting. What a trade off. I've got to try and get in some more exercise this weekend.

Daylight savings

DSCF3517

Day light savings does not make any sense. Why does California persist with this outdated tradition? Of course, it won't make much difference to Nathan, he can't tell time.

Tough week

This has been a tough week. Although Nathan is pretty much back to normal, I've had a ugly cold and things are really busy at work. I had to catch up on the stuff I missed while I was home with Nathan last week. Also, my clerk was out a couple days which means I have to try and cover for her. Thank goodness there is another genetic counselor in my deparment now who can help.

Two words

DSCF3510

Nathan is feeling better today. He still is snotty and congested, but his fever seems to be gone. He's banging on pots and pulling all the kleenex out of the box and then putting them back in again. He also now has two words - "uh-oh" and "up." Interesting that they are action words and not nouns like "mama" or "dada."
