Aniridia is an eye disorder caused by poor or uncomplete development of the iris. Other eye problems, such as nystagmus, cataract, glaucoma, and corneal abnormalties can be present as well. Isolated anirida is due to mutation in the PAX-6 gene and is inherited in an autosommal dominant fashion.
