Incontientia Pigmenti

Incontinentia Pigmenti (IP) is considered an X-linked dominant disorder that affects the development of ectodermal tissues including, hair, skin, teeth, nails, brain and eyes. While there is a 50% risk for affected daughters, this disorder is almost always lethal in males. The gene responsible, the NEMO gene, was recently located on Xq28.
