Oscar Wao
The Brief and Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao is the story of Oscar, an obese, sci-fi/fantasy obsessed Dominican-American young man and his family. It is mostly the story of the personal struggle for independence mired in self destruction. It was a very well written book, but depressing and not very so wonderous. I give it a 5 out of 10.
