Empire Falls

I listend to Empire Falls on audiobook - a whopping 18 CDs. It follows the lives of members of a working class family going through divorse in a working class, rundown New England town. Richard Russo does an exellent job creating a dozen full, complex and troubled characters. There isn't much of a plot, but the atmosphere and depth of characters is well done. A 6 out of 10.
