Burning the Sea

I got Sarah Pemberton Strong's Burning the Sea as a prize for second place in a scrabble tournament at my temple. It is a novel about a gay man and a lesbian woman who are both running away from torid pasts. They meet along their travels and form an intense, almost psychic bond, that binds their journeys in Latin American revolutionary politics. It is well written and the story is pretty good. The main thing I didn't get was this supernatural connection the two main characters have. Overall, I give it a 7 out of 10.
