DragonSong
I recently re-read the DragonSong trilogy by Anne McCaffrey. She is a classic sci-fi/fantasy writer, and one of the few really good female sci-fi authors. Many of her novels take place on Pern, a lost colony of earth where humans form psychic bonds with dragons. This particular series focuses on the Harpers of Pern. I just love her main character, an independent, intellegent, musical girl who accidentally befriends 9 dragonets. I rank it a 9 out of 10.
